Or by direct deposit into our Bank Account. Please contact us if you prefer this option and we will provide you with our bank account details and a deposit reference.
Can I add extra destinations to the tour package? If we can fit your extra destinations into the tour we are happy to do so. Please let us know any extra locations or areas you would like to visit. We offer a clearly defined but flexible itinerary, providing this is agreeable by all on the tour.
Where will my tour start? We will pick you up from the Airport on the day of arrival. To be included in the tour price this must be the day before the tour starts or the day the tour commences. Flying in on the day the tour commences could be risky due to flight delays. You need to make sure you are in New Zealand at 9:00am on the day the tour starts. If you have any concerns about this please contact us.
Will I have time out for rest and relaxation? We realise that you will be tired from your flights and may need some time out to sleep. We are cautious not to overdo the first day for this reason. We also build free days into our tours so that you get to explore some parts on your own. We realise that not everyone on the tour will have the same interests so this gives you the opportunity to roam or rest, as you desire.
What standard of accommodation will we be staying in? We have booked a variety of 2, 3, 4, 5* accommodation. We try to use a variety of Bed and Breakfasts, Lodges, Farm Stays, Hotels and Motels. Generally we use quality, mid price range (comfortable, superior but not luxury), accommodation. All accommodation usually has private ensuite bathroom facilities.
What gear will I require for the tour? New Zealand has been described as a country that includes the best parts from all around the world. Bearing this in mind depending which part of New Zealand we are in you may experience a range of climates and weather conditions. You are therefore advised to pack a range of clothing, which should always include a Jumper (pull over) and a light rain jacket and togs (swimming suit) for the hot pools. We carry a range of Gumboots (Wellies), Umbrellas, Towels, and wet weather gear.
How much luggage can I bring on the tour? We have a luggage trailer, which will have enough room to store your bags and anything you pick up along the way. The limit is two suitcases or the equivalent (golf clubs etc).
Please be aware that your international flights will have a luggage limit which may differ to our. If you are catching an internal flight please note usually only one suitcase is allowed at a maximum weight of 20kgs and one cabin bag. Excess baggage costs will be your responsibility.
Which airlines fly to New Zealand? There are a large number of airlines that fly to New Zealand. Our national airline is Air New Zealand. Their website is www.airnewzealand.co.nz
Do I require travel insurance? We strongly recommend that you take out a travel insurance policy to cover you for cancellation fees, loss of deposits, baggage protection, personal liability, etc. Ask your travel consultant for details. It is essential that this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation of your holiday including airfare(s).
What is the procedure if I require medical attention? If you have an accident, which causes personal injury, the NZ Accident Compensation Scheme will cover you for some of your medical and hospital expenses (if required) . Unfortunately, you will not be covered for loss of earnings, repatriation, loss of tickets etc. Neither will you be covered if you fall ill whilst here. We strongly recommend that comprehensive Travel Insurance be taken out prior to your departure for sickness, accidents, travel plan disruption etc.
If you take medication whilst on holiday, please be sure to bring enough for your entire stay plus a Doctor's certificate in case this needs to be seen by NZ Customs. To obtain many drugs from a Pharmacy, a Doctor's prescription is required. An appointment with a Doctor will cost approx. NZ$35 to NZ$50.
What are the Bank Opening Hours? Bank hours are from 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Provided they are encoded with a PIN number, international credit cards may be used to withdraw cash from automatic teller machines (ATMs), widely available in the main shopping centres and suburban malls. Check with your bank before leaving home whether this facility is available for your card(s).
What type of currency is used in New Zealand? New Zealand's unit of currency is the New Zealand dollar (NZ$), comprising coins with values of 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, $1 and $2, and notes with values of $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100.
Which meals are included in the tour? Each tour comes with a full tour itinerary outlining the activities for each day and which meals are included in the tour price. For meals that are not included in the price we will guide you in the right direction to find good quality, reasonably priced food.
Which airport can we fly into? International Airports are Auckland and Wellington in the North Island with Christchurch and Queenstown (primarily from Australia) being the South Island gateways.
Will I be able to use my electrical appliances (e.g. hairdryer) in New Zealand? Electricity is supplied throughout New Zealand at 230/240 volts (50 hertz), although most hotels and motels provide 110 volt AC sockets (rated at 20 watts) for electric razors only.
For all other equipment, an adaptor / converter is necessary, unless the item has a multi-voltage option. Please note that power outlets only accept flat three or two-pin plugs, depending on whether an earth connection is fitted.
